European Researchers’ Night will take place on 24th September in the Technical School “Ivan Sarić“ in Subotica. The event will last from 4pm to 10pm.
The goal of this event is to popularize science and learning through entertainment, the organizers say. This year’s slogan is “Go green with science“. Students, professors, researchers, scientists, and teachers will run numerous workshops and give lectures. All activities are free of charge and will help many young people to meet each other and present themselves, thus bringing multifaceted and significant benefits to the town.
This event takes place simultaneously all over Europe, in various formats but with the same goal, say the organizers. The project lead and co-organizer is the Tech College of Applied Sciences in Subotica. One of the primary goals is to bring science closer to the widest young audience through entertainment and various activities which are not complex, highlights the director of the Tech College of Applied Sciences, Igor Firstner.
The program mostly targets elementary and high school students. However, in the past few years, it has also sparked great interest among the youngest members of our society, as well as students and senior citizens. The event will host 120 participants including not only educational institutions, but also the City Museum as well as some associations.
The opening ceremony will take place at 3.50 pm. Those who are interested in the detailed program can find it on our Researchers’ Night Subotica Facebook page as well as the official website nocistrazivaca.rs.
