The organization "IT Subotica 2030", in cooperation with the elementary school "Đuro Salaj" in Subotica and a team of Subotica volunteers, carried out cleaning and painting on an old and ruined advertising board located at the entrance of the school on Šandor Petefi street.
Throughout this year, we have cleaned and painted 30 cable cabinets in the wider area of the city center, and this project was carried out as a continuation of the mentioned activities aimed at cleaning the city and making Subotica beautiful.
The initiative and inspiration for this specific action came from a student at the "Đuro Salaj" elementary school who approached our organization with a request to refurbish this advertising board, which had been in poor condition for several years.
The project was carried out by the organization "IT Subotica 2030" and was implemented with the support of a competition for financing youth ideas called "Šta nam teško" within the "Mladi su zakon" program of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Serbia. The significance of this action was also recognized by the local company "DG Company", which provided the scaffolding necessary for the work to be carried out.
The action was carried out by a team of young volunteers and experienced Subotica street artists. You can see the before and after photos of the board in the following pictures.
