On April 1st, the first "Subotica Open IT" event was held in Subotica, hosting over 400 high school seniors from Bačka Topola, Bečej, Kikinda, Kula, Senta, and Sombor. The students had the opportunity to learn about the study programs offered by the Faculty of Economics in Subotica and the Subotica Tech - College of Applied Sciences in Subotica, as well as several IT companies from our city. Five technical schools, three High Schools schools, and one School of Economics participated in this event.
High school seniors had the chance to hear firsthand about the study programs available and the entrance exams they can expect if they decide to study at Subotica's higher education institutions. They also heard from current students about what student life is like in Subotica, and what makes Subotica a good place to study. After the presentation of the faculties and the higher school, the seniors went on a tour of several IT companies, where each company presented itself in its own way. Guests had the opportunity to get to know the companies, their businesses, learn about the various types of IT professions available, and gain insight into the business world.
We are sure that some of the guests will become our fellow citizens and future colleagues in just a few months.
