Subotica Open IT is a project aimed at promoting Subotica as a city for studying and pursuing a career. The project has already been implemented several times, and within its framework, we want to present Subotica as a city for studying and pursuing a career to high school graduates from other cities. So far, we have had the opportunity to host graduates from high schools, technical schools, and economic schools from Ada, Apatin, Bačka Topola, Bečej, Kikinda, Kula, and Senta in Subotica. In addition to high school graduates who we host in Subotica, we also organize this project for high school graduates from Subotica. In addition to the study programs at the Faculty of Economics, Subotica Tech - College of Applied Sciences in Subotica, and the Faculty of Civil Engineering, we want to show high school graduates what some of the IT companies in Subotica look like. They will have the opportunity to visit the offices of IT Subotica 2030 members and learn from IT professionals what the job of an IT expert looks like or what career path awaits them to potentially work in these companies.
The Subotica Open IT project is showing results because we have increasing interest in IT studies at Subotica's higher education institutions from year to year. We have a desire for this project to become a tradition and to show young future professionals firsthand that Subotica is already a regional IT center.
